Hey! I’m back with another post for the month!
As you can see from the title, I’m going to share with you how COVID-19 has affected me and my life. This is also because many of my friends have asked me to tell them about it, so I thought I could actually write it here as a post!

~
To be honest, Covid-19 hasn’t affected much of my life. Most of the time I am just at home studying and going about my usual activities. Well, outdoor activities are mostly affected, having a must to wear a mask whenever we go out… for safety.
Because of the safety measures our government has placed, churches were not able to meet at all in the first few month of the year till September (I think..) until then we were not able to meet physically for services and fellowships.
During the period of circuit-breaker, I realised that many of us ought to appreciate the time we were able to get together to fellowship, and attend church meetings and activities. Going to China also made me feel more appreciative to worship and serving God, especially in Singapore, where we can worship and gather freely. God is so good to enable us to worship so freely whereas in other places of the world like China, the gospel and the church is limited by the many persecutions. I learnt to appreciate going to church every week and attending the fellowship groups every Saturday. Be thankful. I really happy that in my church, Gethsemane BPC, we are provided with so many fellowship groups where we can learn more about God’s Word every week without fail!
During the recent circuit breaker in the beginning of 2020, I was able to try out new food recipes that made us become “circuit-bakers”, start bullet journaling, continue with my blogging schedule, and make a YouTube channel with my siblings – aka. HHIZ :))
Covid-19 has helped me to trust God more everyday, no matter if we may get the virus or not, everything is in God’s hands.
Now, much of everything as returned back to normal… not everything yet, but gradually. Now that Phase 3 will be opening on the 28th of December, we still have to take precautions. It’s good that now we can meet physically again in church for services and fellowship groups as well as meeting up with our friends in groups of 5 only! Wearing masks and hand sanitising our hands frequently has become a new normal in Singapore.
you know what? just look on the bright side of things ~ and it won’t be so bad after all!
It Came Upon The Midnight Clear
1. It came upon the midnight clear,
that glorious song of old,
from angels bending near the earth
to touch their harps of gold:
“Peace on the earth, good will to men,
from heaven’s all-gracious King.”
The world in solemn stillness lay,
to hear the angels sing.
2. Still through the cloven skies they come
with peaceful wings unfurled,
and still their heavenly music floats
o’er all the weary world;
above its sad and lowly plains,
they bend on hovering wing,
and ever o’er its Babel sounds
the blessed angels sing.
3. And ye, beneath life’s crushing load,
whose forms are bending low,
who toil along the climbing way
with painful steps and slow,
look now! for glad and golden hours
come swiftly on the wing.
O rest beside the weary road,
and hear the angels sing!
4. For lo! the days are hastening on,
by prophet seen of old,
when with the ever-circling years
shall come the time foretold
when peace shall over all the earth
its ancient splendors fling,
and the whole world send back the song
which now the angels sing.
[ because it’s Christmas is a few more days! ]
