Ecclesiastes 3:1
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”
Hi, how has your quarantine been? For me, I had an experience. At the end of September, I had to transfer temporarily as my house had to be renovated. It was such a trying moment as we only had a limited amount of time to find a place to stay and it would be hard to find such accommodating places during this pandemic. Thank God that a family friend of ours knew someone who had a place to rent and understood our situation.
It was difficult transferring that week, as I had exams. But thankfully the subjects during this quarter were easy to understand and were no trouble. The place we rented was great. A small house with an open veranda looking down the road, which was a wonderful view considering the being stuck at home for 5-ish months.
Of course we had some issues. Since it was located on the third floor, we had to climb a bit with our heavy groceries. Heavy rain could also enter the house when the wind would blow in its direction. And as the house is facing the west it can be quite hot during the afternoons, but we loved the experience. There were moments when I wished we didn’t have to transfer, like when my signal during class and fellowships goes slow, or when I couldn’t do much in the small countertop kitchen. Yet every time I go to the open ‘balcony’ of the house and see the open view, with cars passing by and the clouds coloring the sky, I wouldn’t mind staying longer.
We can find ourselves in unexpected situations. During my childhood, I had to go from one country to another and it was sometimes tiring leaving what I had behind. I used to think of all the what if’s in my life. What if I never left my country? What if I stayed and continued my studies while staying with my relatives? If I think of the outcome, it would be disappointing. Where I was during that time really made an impact, molded me to what I have become now.
Its okay to wonder the what ifs in your life. It would be a way for you to see how God has been working on it. We can never see the bigger picture that He can see. But as we take each step forward, we can see that God is molding us to what he wants us to be. It can sometimes be unexpected, yet if we keep on following to where He is leading us, we could never regret it.

Very thoughtful. It sounds like Kaye has had quite the nomadic upbringing. It has perks of course but you’d wonder where home is.
